1. He is the inventor of of the style “Quotidiano-Straordinario.”
2. Daniel sees everyday life and art as one inseparable whole.
3. He was born in Sweden, spent 20 years in Prague, London, Berlin, Bologna, Rome, Milan and has now made Athens, Greece his base.
Currently he’s turned his spotlight to his current location: Athens. He’s created so many nice cityscapes, we tried hard to choose from. The cover photo of this blog post shows “Pittaki Street, Psyrri, Athens” through Daniel’s eyes. Those who follow are only a few of our favorites.
Lucid, dreamy and vibrant illustrations reflect the enticing inner world of highly regarded artist, Daniel Egnéus. His work is an expression of his colorful and rich life of modern metropolis. You might get the feeling that he’s daydreaming; we’d call his artworks “vibrant urban illusions”.
He has published many books and got awarded many times (you may read more about his famous collaborations on his website) but what stroked out for us besides his colorful illustrated cityscapes are those famous portraits!
