A great breakfast, brunch and lunch place in the center of Brussels!
I was just roaming around my favorite part of Brussels (the center of course!) and right after walking past Bia Mara, I noticed this nice little coffee shop, Peck47. My friend Antigoni and I decided to try it and she went admittedly gung-ho about it. And rightly so, as Peck47 is actually owned by the Irish crew of nearby Bia Mara and the place screams attention to detail.
What to eat
I personally had a scrumptious Italian sandwich with pecorino and salami, coupled with a side salad of fresh roquette and pine nuts topped with balsamic vinegar sauce. Antigoni had the egg, bacon and spinach on whole wheat sandwich which she confirmed was absolutely delicious. Well, I wasn’t expecting anything less than utter quality all things related to Peck47 knowing how much the owners value fresh products and nicely presented dishes.
What to drink
I paired my lunch with a jar of my favorite Pimm’s which is served the English way at Peck47: 1 part Pimm’s, 3 parts lemonade, 1 slice orange, 1 slice lemon, 2 slices cucumber and mint. Antigoni took her favorite Spritz, the art of making of which, Peck47 also seems to master. It’s a great place if you love drinking tea as there’s a separate tea menu featuring a wide range of choice such as the Mademoiselle tea which is made of red berries, sour apple, pear and rose petals.
