Who wouldn’t want to live in an old Victorian with a bunch of friends, drink green juice and come up with crazy ways to support themselves to do the things that they love? That’s how the guys at Woodthumb present themselves to the general public, instilling hope in us to chase our dream and realize our somewhat unconventional ideas about sustainable design. It’s obvious from their delicate use of wood, that they’re impassioned for craft, ‘inventing interesting products and making their wacky ideas come to life’.
They like to get down and dirty with reclaimed redwood, old bourbon barrels, whiskey, tablesaws, bacon chocolate and those sorts of things. Envy yet? Wait. There’s more: they stand by a green and eco-friendly attitude that makes them even more appealing. Yes, recycling, upcycling and the use of a cradle to cradle model for producing and consuming goods are their master-field. Design serving sustainable communities, what’s not to love in this brand?
